Bowls New Zealand is proud to announce that we are committed to giving back to our community. As part of our ongoing efforts to support charitable causes, we are excited to share that a percentage of all sales made at the Bowls New Zealand online store will be reinvested back into the bowls community.  

BOWLS4LIFE 

The Bowls4Life tournament, held in 2022 and 2023 by Merv Brown and the Hastings Bowling Club, has been an incredibly successful (finish sentence). The 2023 tournament raised an impressive 25 thousand dollars for local Hastings charity STAROS, an achievement all can agree is incredibly inspiring!

STAROS is a Hastings-based charitable organisation that offers bereavement support and information to those affected by suicide in New Zealand. The organisation conducts regular weekly support group sessions spanning Napier, Hastings, and Havelock North. Bowls New Zealand is eager to build on the momentum generated by the Bowls4Life tournament and support similar initiatives in the future. It is important that we recognises the value of such community-driven events in promoting the sport of lawn bowls while also raising funds for charitable causes.
